...November energy just hits different

I don’t know about you, Reader, but November always throws me off a little.

One minute it’s warm, light until 8 PM, and you feel like you can (sort of) keep up with life. Then suddenly it’s dark before dinnertime, the calendar’s exploding with school events, holiday prep is whispering in your ear, and you’re more tired even with the extra hour of sleep.

I had that realization recently—while also finally, finally starting to plan our wedding. After 3.5 years of being engaged (!), we locked in a date: November 13th, 2026. Yep, a Friday the 13th. We weirdly love it. It’s quirky, memorable, and a little magical. But even that happy thing started to feel like a task to juggle rather than something to celebrate.

And that’s when I noticed: I’ve been trying to keep up with my August energy in November.

Why This Matters:

When the seasons change, so do we—even if we’re not always aware of it. Our energy dips, our patience shrinks, and our homes suddenly feel heavier. Not because we’re failing, but because life shifted… and we forgot to shift with it.

There was a study I came across once that said people living in northern climates naturally slow down in the fall and winter. Their brains literally start craving rest, rhythm, and reflection. Which makes sense, right? Less light, colder temps, cozier routines. But meanwhile, our to-do lists say “go, go, go.”

What This Looks Like at Home:

  • Your evening routine starts later but ends later too… and now no one’s getting enough sleep.
  • The messes feel messier because the house is full more often.
  • You’re craving comfort, but your systems are still demanding hustle.

Your Quick Seasonal Reset Audit:

  1. What’s feeling harder now than it did in early fall?
  2. What part of your routine could use more margin instead of more motivation?
  3. What tiny change would make your home feel cozier, calmer, or just easier right now? (maybe some candles 😊).

You don’t have to do more to feel better—you might just need to do it differently or not at all.

Tell me what you're craving this season—I’m all ears.

P.S. A cozy corner, a tiny reset, and permission to slow down? That might be all you need this week to feel fulfilled.

P.P.S. New blog post coming next week!

Wishing you a little more clarity and a lot less clutter,

How to Build a Cleaning Routine That Survives Real Life

"If you’ve tried chore charts, checklists, or Pinterest-perfect cleaning schedules and none of them stuck, I get it.
👉 In this week’s post, I’m breaking down the simple shift that makes routines actually work in real life."

Since you didn't ask...

As you may have seen a brief mention in the newsletter above, but me and my fiancé, John, have finally decided to start planning for our wedding...well, more so, I decided, and he just didn't object 😁 We have pretty much settled on a venue and a date (November 13, 2026 - Friday the 13th). I love the venue we went with, except for the fact that to get the Friday discount (which, if you've never been married or planned a wedding, Fridays are usually cheaper than Saturdays) we have to meet the MINIMUM food cost of $8500 (AFTER the discount was already applied), so there was basically no way to meet that minimum without adding more guests, but if we added more guests then we wouldn't be able to have the room in the venue that we really liked...so that's a little frustrating.

Things I've been loving lately ❤️

Bath & Body Works Candles

One of my favorite "cozy weather" candle scents is the Marshmellow Fireside candle. It takes me back to when I was little and had bonfires. We still occasionally have bonfires at John's parents place. Do you use Bath & Body Works candles? If so, which scent is your favorite during this time? Although I do recommend waiting until they go on sale before you buy one, lol.

Fall Foilage & The Temperature

It's FINALLY a season where I can wear all of my oversized sweatshirts and yoga pants and not be ridiculously hot by mid-morning!! I was actually cold today while running errands, which is rare for me to get cold. I'm always hot for some reason.

The 5 tiny habits that will make your life 10x easier:

  1. Never leave a room empty-handed
  2. If a task takes 2 minutes or less to complete, do it right away
  3. Don't put an item down. Put it away.
  4. Take just 10 minutes to tidy up your home at the end of every day. It doesn't have to be perfect; try to get rid of at least the trash that's around.
  5. Put appointments and important dates in your calendar right away! It's also a good idea to immediately set reminders for those events, too.
